LOWER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM

The Lower Elementary Program continues to provide a safe, caring, respectful, and supportive environment where young children continue to learn, grow, and thrive.  Children learn to be self-directed in their learning, independent, and self-motivated.  Classroom materials are uniquely designed for concepts to be taught first from the big picture then to the details – all lessons are taught in context. 

 

During these very important years, language arts, reading, and mathematic skills are taught in a daily schedule which includes whole group, small group, and individual work.  Students work at their own pace as teachers monitor students’ work to ensure consistent growth of student skills and knowledge in all academic areas.
